Weekend Favs March Twenty Six

Weekend Favs March Twenty Six

My weekend blog post routine includes posting links to a handful of tools or great content I ran across during the week.

I don’t go into depth about the finds, but encourage you check them out if they sound interesting. The photo in the post is a favorite for the week from Flickr.

Good stuff I found this week:

Jetpack – Collection of WordPress plugins from WordPress packaged as a set of features that cover most of the basic plugin needs. This was a WordPress.com feature now available for self hosted WordPress.org sites.

Hellofax – there are plenty of online fax services, but I love this one because it allows me to insert my signature on documents and email them back to the sender.

letter.ly – Dead simple way to create a paid online newsletter

Good stuff I found this week:

Thinglink – tool that allows you to add interactive features to your online images.

Springpad – very interesting free note taking and creating tool that organizes things the ways you live

Learnable – with Learnable you can find lots of courses to take and you can create your own course using the Learnable tools. Learnable then markets your course and shares the proceeds.

Good stuff I found this week:

Google Public Data Explorer - The Google Public Data Explorer makes large datasets easy to explore, visualize and communicate. This one came from Ben at WBPSystems who claims that he finds this tool very helpful for making business decisions and researching new markets.

SinglePlatform – very cool looking new service that helps local businesses promote their content and publishers use local content to help their SEO efforts. I push all my local clients to get in the local content biz and this tool may be a great play for that.

7 Tools For Managing Your Facebook Fans – Nice roundup from AllFacebook of some tools that will allow you to get more from Facebook, including a couple that make it easier for you to provide customer service directly from Facebook.

Weekend Favs March Twenty Seven

I have a weekend routine where I share a handful of favorite things I tripped upon online this week. I usually post about three and don’t go into much detail, but suggest you check them out. The image featured in the post is a favorite creative commons image on Flickr.

Good stuff I found this week:

Firefox Personas – A new way to add branding and personality to the Firefox browser. You can pick one or create your own.

Prezi – A very cool and totally new way to create and present ideas online. Your entire presentation goes on one large canvas so you can flip around, add ideas and relationships on the fly, and zoom in on detailed parts of any idea.

Clickdensity – Heat map and web site usibility toolkit
